PEAK welcomes students from all over the world to study, in English, on one of two undergraduate programs:
The International Program on Japan in East Asia
The International Program on Environmental Sciences

PEAK, meaning Programs in English at Komaba, is part of the University of Tokyo. The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) is ranked 28th in QS World University Rankings 2024. Our programs offer a unique, innovative and international four-year undergraduate degree experience. As one of the world's leading universities, we admit a select group of globally-oriented students and offer them exciting possibilities for intellectual growth and personal development.

The aim of these undergraduate degree programs is to share rich intellectual resourses and ethos of UTokyo with the wider world and international community of students and scholars. JEA and ES classes are small and interactive in order to facilliate the exchange of ideas and foster creative thinking. In addition, students have the opportunitiy to study Japanese lagnuage during their time at UTokyo.

If you are interested in visiting the Komaba Campus, currently, it is open to the public, so you can walk around the campus by yourselves if it is only outside the buildings. Please drop by the guard's office at the main gate and ask for a set of PEAK information materials.

If you are interested in talking with the admissions office, we usually hold and join some events in summer and autumn. There, you can directly ask questions to PEAK faculty members, students, and the admissions office.

Programs in Other Fields (only in Japanese)

If you are interested in other fields of study, there are some other programs conducted in Japanese but unlike PEAK, you are expected to be fluent in Japanese before you apply.

Transfer

If you are interested in transferring to the University of Tokyo, we do not accept transfer students except for GSC (Global Science Course).
You can apply to our PEAK program as long as you fulfill all the eligibility requirements, but the university level credits you have earned elsewhere cannot be transferred to your credits at this university and you must start from the beginning.
